This trick is the ‘Split Bottom Mount’ … here’s how you do it.
To complete this string trick. It’s recommended you use a Long Spinning - Butterfly Shaped Yo-yo such as OFFSETyoyo ASCENT.
You want to ensure you learn the split bottom mount, because this is a prerequisite for many of the other cool tricks later on in this series.
This Split Bottom Mount is similar to the Front Mount, and there’s two main ways to do this trick.
Here’s the first way;
Start by getting into a Front Mount. Lift your non-throw hand up and stick your throw hand index finger into the two strings. Rock the yoyo back and forth a bit, then as the yoyo swings back, let the yoyo roll forward, over your throw-hand finger into the string.
To dismount, Swing off that string and tug the yoyo back to your hand.
Now here’s the second way to do the Split Bottom Mount.
Throw a sleeper, then push your non-throw hand into the string from behind. From here, stick out your throw-hand and push your index finger into the string then, swing the yoyo over and onto the string. Swing off that string and tug the yoyo back to your hand.
And that’s the ‘Split Bottom Mount’
