I am doing some leather inlay on a knife sheath and I show you how I mark out the pattern and transfer it to the leather, how I cut out the inlay using a blade in a sewing machine, and how I stitch in the inlay shapes.
I take my hat off to the professional bootmakers such as Lee Miller @texas_traditions_boots whose work inspired me to have a go at this. The team there are clearly very skilled and have years of experience doing this, and would probably put me right where I make mistakes!
Anyway I enjoyed having a go in this video, and I hope you enjoy seeing me take you through the process. I was pleased with the finished result for a first effort.
