This area shouldn't pose too many problems even with an SL1 because you don't really need to fight much. Run through and get the items you want, take a detour through Archdragon Peak (assuming you've killed Dancer and Oceiros already) and take out Yhorm. In this video I will be doing Yhorm WITHOUT the Storm Ruler, however, so it proved pretty challenging for me.
