Rubberised paint coated many synthesizer knobs, sliders and other components and were widely used in the early parts of 2010 - 2020.

A lot of these parts are degrading and a sticky surface emerges as the chemicals break down.

This video shows a temporary, quick and inexpensive solution to get you going by using talcum powder (baby powder).
