In this tutorial, you’ll learn How to Disable the NVIDIA FPS Counter on your Windows Home screen. This is the NVIDIA overlay with FPS, GPU, CPU, and LAT statistics in the top-right corner of your home screen. It remains there even when you open other applications and can get annoying.
Well, the simple solution to disable the FPS counter overlay is to use ALT+R on your keyboard. This toggles the overlay on and off. If this still does not work for you, follow these steps: (1) open the NVIDIA application from your system tray; (2) use ALT+Z on your keyboard to open the left-side panel; (3) click on Statistics in the bottom-left corner; (4) click on Statistics at the top and you will see a toggle button to turn it off and on.
