In this video, I show you how to descale and clean a Technivorm Moccamaster. Descaling is quite easy - just prepare the descaling solution of 32 ounces of water (900ml), and add either 4 ounces (100ml) of liquid descaler, or mix in a packet of descaler powder and dissolve. Add this solution to the water tank, and run a cycle. Then, rinse 3 times afterwards, to make sure no descaler solution is left behind.
By the way, Technivorm recommends using sulfamic acid rather than citric acid, but many descalers use a combination of both. I'd recommend just running the descaler through the machine, and quickly rinsing 3 times. Anyway, the two main descalers that Technivorm recommends are Durgol and Urnex.
