Today, we will learn how a locksmith is able to originate a key by cutting it to “code.” Every key has a unique bitting code which can be translated into a series of numbers so the locksmith can cut your key (even if they don’t have one to copy)!

Code cutting is a powerful tool and makes key origination easy. These are great machines to own and can make many tasks much simpler. Thank you for checking it out and if you have any questions please leave them below!


One small note:
One thing you may notice on this machine is on the depth you want the needle to match up to the line where the depth marker is. In order to film this video, I was quite far away from the machine so it was hard to see the markers so on a few of the closeup shots I might fall a hair short just remember this if using the HPC Blitz 1200 CMB.
