Learn to Crochet Part 3 (How to Single Crochet, Turn, and Use Chain Stitches in your Work)

1. The Turning Chain (tch) creates the height of your row
a. One chain equals height of Single Crochet Stitch.
b. Do not confuse your turning chain with the last stitch of the row.

2. Single Crochet (sc) in Chain (ch). Insert hook into back loop of second chain from hook).

3. Single Crochet (sc) in Single Crochet stitch.
a. Make sure you have the same number of stitches as the row below.

b. Do not crochet in the turning chain.


4. Working Chain Stitches in combination with Single Crochet Stitches (create a seed pattern)
