This crochet demonstration shows how to slip stitch across stitches without adding height by using the left hand. When starting the second row chain one, and then turn your work around. Insert your hook into the first stitch and yarn over the hook. Pull the hook through the stitch and then the loop that is on your hook.

The second crochet demonstration shows how to slip stitch in a circle for working in the round.
Start out by chaining five. Insert the hook in the last chain and yarn over the hook. Pull the yarn through the chain and then through the loop on your hook. Now you can begin crocheting in a circle.
