This is creative because the University of Oregon didn't have a baseball program at the time. This is because it had been dropped after 1981, along with men's gymnastics, women's golf, and women's soccer because of a budget crisis. They later re-launched their varsity baseball program in 2009 which was announced in July of 2007. The University of Oregon, along with Northwestern University (Wildcats), the University of Arkansas (Razorbacks), Oregon State University (Beavers), the University of Kentucky (Wildcats) and Loyola University Chicago (Ramblers) are the NCAA Division I colleges that I chose to pay tribute to in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. Out of the six, Loyola University Chicago is the only one to not have a baseball program.
