It's easy to give printed text the appearance of a "handwritten" note, by simply using a cursive script font in your graphics software. The problem is that any repeated letters in the text will have identical glyphs, which are an obvious sign of automatic processing and quickly break the illusion of handwriting.
In this video, I'll show you how to add distortion and variation to each letter of a string of text using the Inkscape tweak tool. This prevents the identical repetition of characters, and makes the text more closely resemble natural handwriting. This is useful for creating handwritten notes in escape room games.
