Berthe Morisot was a gifted 19th century Impressionist painter from France. She showcased her work in the groundbreaking Impressionist exhibitions and inspired her brother-in-law Édouard Manet in the use of color.

Required Materials:
Ruler
Scissors
Colored paper
Glue
WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS:
1. Using pink crepe paper, cut out 8 squares that are approximately 6in x 6in (or the size of a paper napkin)
2. Using yellow tissue paper, cut out 4 squares that are approximately 3in x 3in
3. Stack yellow squares together and fold like an accordion, use scissors to round the edges at the ends of both sides
4. Stack the pink squares and fold like an accordion, use scissors to round the edges at the ends of both sides
5. Wrap floral wire around the center of the pink & yellow papers to attach, make sure the long wire is facing the “bottom” of the flower! (opposite the yellow center)
6. eather out the yellow pieces in the middle first, delicately
7. Continue to feather and fold out the pink petals, making sure to separate each piece of crepe paper
8. Cut 5-6 leaf shapes out green crepe paper, twirl the bottoms to make leaf shapes that can attach to the stem
9. Attach the leaves to the stem of the flower using hot glue
10. Voila! Peonies inspired by Berthe Morisot
