Junk Journal Joy | How to create glitter embossed transparent papers from cheap materials @JunkJournalJoy | Uploaded February 2023 | Updated October 2024, 32 minutes ago.
the first part of this technique is not new, I think it was popular in the ‘70s
I learned it from Lize Creates on IG, but maybe you know it from Treasure Book’s Yt video (super famous!)
someone use PVA glue, someone use mode podge or other decoupage glue… I’m using gel medium because I think it works best with acrylics (but it’s probably a fixation of mine!)
someone called it “skins”, someone “faux rice paper”…
my take/twist on it is the embossing part and the glitter/acrylic part (but who knows that also this is not new and someone maybe without social media already do it…)
nothing is new nowadays
