Today in this video training I will be showing you easy step by step instructions to create and display an event calendar on your WordPress WebSite. I have selected the free version of the event calendar plugin because of its popularity and the number of positive ratings it has.
Let's dive in
First of all -
Let's Install the plugin -
like any WordPress plugin, it's easy to install the event calendar plugin.
Just log in to your WordPress Website dashboard. Navigate to plugins and click Add new. you will see the plugin search field and type the plugin name the event calendar here.
Once you have successfully, Installed and activated the plugin, you should see a new menu entry called Events on the WordPress Dashboard sidebar menu.
Let's create An Event
Once you’ve installed and activated The Events Calendar Plugin, you’re going to create some events.
This is super easy. Let’s log in to your WordPress dashboard – you should see a menu entry called Events and, if you click on it, you should see the Add New link.
Let's Locate your Calendar
The URL of your calendar depends on the Events Slug URL setting found in the Events - Settings - General screen. By default it’s set to events, so your calendar URL would be yoursite.com/events.
Event Settings
Setting dates and times- you will find some time and date related settings in WordPress General settings. The event calendar plugin will determine the date and time-related settings based
Changing permalinks - change the permalink to post name
Integrate-You can easily Integrate with your theme.
Theme Customizer - you can change the fonts and color from the theme customizer.
Add The Event to your WordPress Menu
Click the screen option and enable the
