Join me as I discuss how to create a vintage paper decoration die cut wall display. Finally take those old decorations out of the box and put them on your wall or shelf to enjoy.
I was inspired by a Pinterest posting many years ago and always knew I wanted to do something with my old paper die cuts. I gathered a few of my favorite paper decorations and started small and began to piece together my wall. I found my frames at estate, yard and garage sales, Facebook Marketplace and mostly from dollar stores like The Dollar Tree. I also put a splash of color on the main wall by choosing a mint green color. This will bring out the little bits of green that a lot of die cuts seem to have. I also wanted to put some background color in each frame. I gathered fabric, construction paper, scrapbook paper, and even plastic tablecloths I had. Because the die cuts gets sandwiched in-between the glass of the frame I didn't need to use any adhesive. For the free floating decorations I used a tiny piece of blue painters tape. And then I attached to frames to the wall with either a small nail or screw depending on the hook or bracket the picture frame had. I love the way this turned out. It was so much fun to put together. I started in the summer and finished just in time for Halloween.
I really hope you enjoyed seeing how this all came together and inspire you to create your own framed die cut.
