Engineers and scientists often work with complex, multidimensional data that is difficult to interpret in raw tables. Surface plots in MATLAB® make it easier to visualize this data in three dimensions, even when it’s scattered or nonuniform.

This demonstration uses an example to show how to prepare nonuniform data and create effective 3-D surface plots for better data interpretation.
