How exactly do we make Pop Art inspired pieces? In this film, artist Sadie Lee will demonstrate how to create a pop art style portrait. Pop art is a movement that primarily emerged in America and the UK in the 1950’s and ‘60’s. It drew on imagery from popular culture, advertising and mass production and was characterised by bright, bold colours and simplified, flat areas of colour.

Materials used: A4 Acetate sheet, A4 image to work from, permanent marker (such as a sharpie), Acrylic paints, soft brushes, palette or paper plate, masking tape, water pot, paper towels
