How To Configure The Settings Of Your Adguard Home Server
AdGuard Home is a free and open-source tool for network protection. It can help you protect your devices from advertisements, malicious URLs, and dangerous websites. AdGuard Home is highly customizable and works network wide.
There are many ways to set up AdGuard Home as there a few ways to block and whitelist domains.
Enable AdGuard browsing security web service
Enable AdGuard parental control web service
Logs can be handy when needing to whitelist domains. Set the rotation lower if you wish.
Statistics retention: 30 days
This keeps track of request made, how many are blocked, etc. It is what is shown on the dashboard page.
Encryption settings
This requires for you to have a domain to use if you want to use DNS-over-HTTPS or DNS-over-TLS. Adguard has made a guide to set up encryption. You can this at: github.com/AdguardTeam/AdGuardHome/wiki/Encryption.
Filters
This is how the software understand what to block and what to not block, and can also preform rewrites

Any list specified here will block the domains that are listed.
