No matter how much time, or how much effort you put into a video the undeniable fact is… if the idea for the video is bad… the video will be bad… MrBeast once said he spends an hour every morning brainstorming video ideas.
The number 1 rule to actually come up with video ideas for Youtube is to know your audience, I feel like nobody ever says this in these videos. This is the hardest part as a Beginner on Youtube.
How are you supposed to come up with content if you have no idea who the content is for? If you’re starting a Youtube channel, you need to pick your niche, a channel needs a niche, it needs a focus, a singular topic, and you need an audience in your mind who wants the content.

How Long Should Youtube Videos Be?
If you want to grow on Youtube, as I have said before, having a clickable video is KEY to all of that but having an engaging video is KING of everything.
If you have two videos that both get 100 views, and both have a 50% retention rate but one of them is 10 minutes and another is 20 minutes. The 20-minute video has 1000 minutes of watch time, but the 5-minute video only has 500 minutes of watch time. The higher watch time video will often perform better.
That said, don’t make long videos for the sake of it, you should instead make engaging videos with good content, as well as use hooks and loops. A hook is what I use at the start of my videos to intrigue you and get you keen to hear more, and a loop is where I mention that something else you’re interested in is coming up soon. A Youtube Video should aim to be as long as you can maintain your audience's attention.
