Heeeeyyyyy there guys. In this video we show how to clean the beam splitter on a rangefinder film camera, using the Yashica Electro 35 as an example. Pedro from Film Love Photography was kind enough to demonstrate the process. The beam splitter has a delicate coating on it, so it is important to use caution when cleaning it.
Do you want the spoilers? Just use a sensor cleaning kit for digital camera sensors. Also, we give an example of how to increase the contrast to brighten the focus patch if it is starting to fade.
