Generally, wiper blades fall into two categories: conventional blades… and beam blades.
A conventional wiper blade is constructed with a bracket applying pressure behind the blade, which is how most wipers were designed for decades. As these blades wear out, the brackets can eventually cause streaks on your windshield while the wipers are running.
A beam blade is a more modern design with one-piece construction rather than brackets, which provides equal pressure along the entire length of the blade.
The first brand I’ll talk about today is MasterPro. Of the wipers we’ll be looking at, MasterPro blades are the most affordable option—but they serve as great replacement blades, provide rear wiper options, and they’re ideal for everyday use in moderate driving conditions.
MasterPro blades are available in both conventional and beam styles.
