£5 banknotes featuring Sir Winston Churchill were first issued on 13 September 2016. There are two versions of the banknote in circulation. One version featuring a portrait of King Charles III and one version featuring a portrait of Her late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II. The security features are the same on both versions.
