Samsung Galaxy S26 Camera: Capture Editable RAW and Shareable JPEG Photos on S26 Plus and S26 Ultra!
How to Save Editable RAW and Shareable JPEG Photo Together on Samsung Galaxy S26, S26 Plus and Ultra
Learn how to capture photos in both an editable RAW format and a shareable JPEG format on the Samsung Galaxy S26, Galaxy S26 Plus, and Galaxy S26 Ultra camera.

This feature is useful when you want two versions of the same photo: a RAW file for detailed editing and a JPEG file that is ready for easy sharing. RAW files retain more original image data and provide greater flexibility when adjusting exposure, highlights, shadows, white balance, and colors in compatible editing software. JPEG files are widely supported by phones, computers, websites, social media platforms, and messaging apps.

To capture both formats, open the Camera app, switch to Pro mode, open Camera Settings, go to Photo format, and select the Pro mode picture format option. Choose RAW and JPEG when that option is available. The camera can then save a JPEG image together with a RAW file, typically using the DNG format.

After enabling the setting, capture a test photo and check the Gallery or file manager. You should find both the JPEG and RAW versions of the image. The JPEG can be shared immediately, while the RAW file can be kept for advanced editing.

Remember that capturing both formats requires more storage because two files are saved for each photo. RAW files can also be significantly larger than JPEG files. Keep sufficient free storage and back up important photographs regularly.

Use RAW and JPEG together when you want editing flexibility without giving up the convenience of quick sharing. For everyday snapshots where advanced editing is not required, JPEG alone may be more convenient.

The exact menu names and available options can vary depending on the device software version, camera mode, and region. Make sure your Galaxy S26 series device and Camera app are updated for the latest available features.
