Tesla Model Y Camp Mode allows you to sleep comfortably inside your vehicle while maintaining climate control, power, and entertainment, turning your car into a cozy, eco-friendly campsite.
What is Camp Mode?
Camp Mode transforms your Tesla Model Y into a mini-campsite by keeping the following active while parked:
Climate control: Maintains the cabin at your set temperature, ensuring comfort in hot or cold weather
USB power and interior lights: Keeps your devices charged and cabin usable overnight
Air circulation: Prevents condensation and maintains fresh airflow
Entertainment: Enjoy Tesla Theater, music, or podcasts while relaxing
Unlike leaving a car idling, Camp Mode operates silently and without emissions, allowing indoor or tightly enclosed camping safely
Setting Up Camp Mode
Park your Model Y on a legal, level spot (campground or open parking area).
Shift to Park. Camp Mode only activates while in Park.
Access the Climate menu on your touchscreen and tap the fan icon.
Select “Camp Mode” from the options. The screen will display a campfire animation.
Adjust temperature and fan settings for comfort. 68–70°F is ideal for most people
Optional: Dim the display to reduce light and save power.
