In this video we'll explore what the Bible and science both have to say about our routines. The Apostle Paul and the book of Psalms give us encouragement to be the gate keepers of our actions. The science behind building routines gives us an idea of how those routines best develop. When our circumstances change drastically things can get a little off kilter. Our routines give us a chance to go on auto-pilot. From the way we get up and get ready in the morning to deciding how much cream to put in our coffee our brain makes decisions and we can get fatigued easily. Building routines can alleviate much of that decision fatigue. Understanding the cycle of routines can help us to reclaim those routines that give us a sense of normalcy.
If you have felt like the world around you was pushing in and you just couldn’t figure out why, then this video is for you! When our family was confronted with a pandemic and began social distancing and quarantining, our routines got out of whack, big time! The laundry, the dishes, the wasted groceries was slowly stealing away my time and killing my self-concept. It wasn’t until we have a radical challenge to our beliefs that I began to ask myself: But, at what cost? That question began our journey to deeper faith and less stuff, I’d love for you to join on that journey!
