I said I'd make this video four years ago and here it is. I ran into the problem of trying to soundproof my electric drums so the people below me wouldn't hear me play. I found that some people were making soundproof drum risers using tennis balls. I looked into it then I made my own version of it. I added layers of interlocking foam mats and elevated the stage by placing square pieces of acoustic soundproof foam underneath. it worked well with never hearing any complaints from my neighbors. The trickiest part was elevating my throne to the same height as the stage because only the drums are placed on the stage. I used many layers of foam mats to raise my throne. One thing to get use to is that the stage will jiggle when you're playing the drums. Not a huge deal. Just something I noticed. I hoped you all enjoyed the video.
