How to build a Porch Bench Swing with metal frame - Diy Project
I found some plans online on how to build a porch swing or bench swing. I did have to modify the plans as some material was not available. The bench swing is an easy project that can be done in a weekend. The bench swing uses 1x4, 1x3, 2x4 and 2x6 lumber. Eye bolts, chains, hangers and screws will also be needed for the hardware part. The bench swing or porch swing can also be painted, stained or left bare. I have attached the link to where I found the plans and hopefully you enjoy the video and can get an idea on the work required.

Materials went up in price this month between 30 and 48 percent so I ended up spending about $220 to $240 for the swing and frame. I did have some material left over that will make the second one I build more economical.
