Follow along as I turn this pile of scrap wood from an old table into a mid century modern lounge chair. I had a lot of fun with this build and am super excited to finally have a lounge chair. It’s not without flaws. The wood still shows some dark spots and holes from years of use as a table, but it has a ton of character.

I started out by buying a cushion from the garden section of my local home repair center. lowes.com/pd/allen-roth-Cherry-Red-High-Back-Patio-Chair-Cushion/1000519071
Next I used Carbide Create to design a pattern that fit around this cushion. I cut it out on my Shapeoko XXL cnc router, but this could also easily be done by hand with some poster board.
