After nearly 2 years of work, this massive terrarium project is finally complete.
In this video, I build a 1,000-pound artificial cliff and terrace from scratch using mortar, creating a natural-looking rock wall designed specifically for growing tropical aroids. From planning and construction to planting and the first month of growth, you'll see the entire process from start to finish.
This build was designed to mimic the way many aroids grow in nature—climbing rocky cliffs, rooting into crevices, and developing into a living vertical ecosystem. After all the hard work, I finally get to watch the plants begin establishing themselves and transforming the structure into a lush green wall.
