Correction:
14:25 – The 1-1/2" nails shown here are too short for the angled joist holes on this double-shear hanger. Double-shear hangers require the full-length fastener specified by the manufacturer so the angled fastener penetrates both the joist and the header. Some straight-nailed joist hangers with non-angled holes may allow shorter connector nails. Always follow the fastener requirements for the specific hanger being used.
