Shannons Engineering | How to build a 4" stainless steel snorkel pie-cut / lobster back - Timelapse @shannonsengineering | Uploaded March 2019 | Updated October 2024, 2 hours ago.
A time lapse video on how I made a 4"stainless steel snorkel using the pie-cut tube method.
This process is mainly used in the motorsport industry for custom exhausts and the like giving you the option to customize the shape and radius with no limitations that you would get using mandrel bent tube.
Fully TIG welded and powder coated satin black. Did not see the need to purge my welds.
I used a Kemppi MasterTIG MLS 2300 ACDC TIG welder with finger amp controls.
Some people like it, some don't, but I couldn't care less about the haters. It was a pleasure to build and i'm happy with how it turned out.
No, i will not make you one.
Enjoy.
