therussiangenius.thinkific.com A tutorial on how to break in a brand new deck of cards. When breaking in a brand new deck of cards then you're trying to make the cards fit your hands and the way it handles.
Typically, I like the sides of the deck to be as sharp as they can possible be, and I want the cards to be soft and easy to bend on the long and the short sides. The reasoning behind it is I want to be able to feel every card with the sharp edges and when the deck is easy to bend then you're using less of your finger muscles to do moves such as a riffle, pass, dribble, pinky count, etc.
Other magicians typically like a stiff deck with soft sides.
