In todays LIVESTREAM we will be painting this flower/botanical painting picture using pan pastels and pastel pencils. You can use whatever brands/kinds of soft pastels you have. I will be using my pan pastels to put in the background. Then I will bring in some pastel pencils (colors listed below) to finish the flower. I will be using white Pastelmat, however the Canson Mi-Teintes Pastel Paper is another good paper, though you won't get as many layers. You can use frisket film to mask out the flower (as it makes the process of putting the background in much easier) I hope you enjoy this pastel painting flowers live tutorial.
