The Castles of Burgundy is a highly rated tile placement game where each player takes on the roll of a 15th century French noble attempting to expand their estate into a rolling kingdom of castles, farms, mines, and much more. The mechanics and tactics of the game are well designed and easy enough to learn and fun to master, and the game itself can be had for a very reasonable price. However, there are a few major letdowns hidden within this box of subtle foreshadowing.
