A tutorial for the final two bosses in Crypt of the NecroDancer. Dead Ringer Part 2: youtube.com/watch?v=5jl0tIGByLU
Additional Thoughts and Tips:
- In the starting area of ND, press A to throw Dorian's dagger. That way you won't have to worry about accidentally swapping back to it later.
- When you pick up the Lute, let Dorian pick up Cadence's old weapon if it's better (with the exception of reloading weapons like the crossbow, as you probably don't want to have to worry about that).
- Another reason to mostly ignore the mini-bosses is because the NecroDancer can freeze them with ice, and kill them when he explodes. So rather than wasting your time, try to lead them towards the ND. Red Dragons can be a pain, so you may want to kill them.
- If you have extra bombs, you can blow up the stage in the first phase instead of hitting the buttons. Since the first phase is pretty easy, you may want to save them. If you hit the first two sets of buttons, you can use one bomb to blow up the right side and grab the Lute early, if you want. Do NOT blow up the left side before you've gotten the Lute, since ND will spawn enemies and you won't be able to damage him.
- There is a hard limit of EIGHT enemies that can exist in this fight. A trick is to prolong phase 1 and keep killing enemies until you've gotten 8 headless skeletons around the outside. Now move to phase 2, and ND cannot spawn anything! However, if you chase him to the side, he may use his bomb and kill some skeletons. Because of this, and the amount of time it takes to set up, I don't feel like it's worth it. I do suggest not killing any skeletons all the way, though, in the natural course of this battle.
