We writers do well to live by the adage of "write what you know." It's good advice and we talk about it, along with #productplacement in today's video. We take a look at the #writingcraft and publishing industry within the larger #bookcommunity as we dive into the time a "friend" threatened to sue me for trying to cross-promote with her. The book in question is "She's Not Broken," written under my pen name, Kelsey Day, which has since been taken up by a poet out there in the world. (I have published poetry in anthologies and chapbooks, but it is under my own name.)
"She's Not Broken" won the 2019 Best Literary Fiction Novel at the Imadjinn Awards, which is the trophy you see behind me in the video.
