How to avoid drama is an issue I deal with a lot and it's an ongoing challenge because drama can be easy to be sucked into. In this video, I cover 4 steps you can take to avoid drama in your life.

Some key actions you can take:
1. Donβt engage to start with - Realise that you are engaging with the drama and that is what is making the drama. In order to have drama you need to have something going on, and you need to have you engaging in that. If something is going on and you don't put yourself in the middle of it or engage in it, then it will normally sail right by, without you having to do anything.
2. Work out whose business is the problem - there are three types of business in the world, yours, mine and the universes (I mean anything that isn't yours or mine). If it's not my business, getting involved is likely to result in being unhappy and frustrated.
3. Create a time buffer - The nature of drama in general is that is normally short-lived, a few hours to a few days. This means that if you can put a time buffer between you and the situation it will normally resolve itself totally without your intervention and you can avoid the drama. For example, if someone messages you with something that could easily suck you in, you can tell them you need time to reply and take 72 hours before you give any response at all - at this time you can check-in and see if there is still an issue and address it then. Normally it will have resolved itself before then.
4. Be honest with the person trying to engage you - this can be tough, to say hey, I get this is really important to you but it's none of my business and I am not going to engage.
