The hydraulic reservoirs supply pressurized hydraulic fluid to the hydraulic
pumps. The reservoirs also get the return hydraulic fluid from the airplane



- The hydraulic reservoir is a bootstrap type

• Called “boot strap” type reservoir

• Keeps positive head pressure head for pumps to avoid cavitation

• Accumulators maintain reservoir pressure.


- Capacity

• Left and right reservoir ~ 5 US gallons (19 liters)

• Center reservoir ~ 11 US gallons (42 liters).
