Stop asking questions in job interviews just because you think you should.

Such as the most common question:

❌ “What do you like most about working here?”

This sounds to the hiring manager that you're asking a question just for the sake of asking.

Here's how to make your simple questions sound thoughtful.

Share context, THEN ask the question.

Instead of:

🍊“What are the biggest challenges for this role?”

Say:

✅ “From what I read, it looks like a big focus is building out the compensation formula. What do you see as the biggest challenges in this role?”

Instead of:

🍊 “Why did you choose to work here?”

Say:

✅ “Say, I noticed that your last position was in X industry, and then you moved into this industry. What made you really want this opportunity?

Same questions. But the interviewer will be massively impressed!
