Arm knit, hand knit, finger knit, potato, potato. Whatever you want to call it, it's NOT knitting with needles, so throw those away. This is basically how to knit anything with huge yarn. A huge scarf. A huge blanket. Gloves? Socks? Go for it!

Keep in mind you can use any type of yarn for this, as long as it's thick.
