In this tutorial I will show you how to add product filters in Shopify and creating the custom filters using metafields so your customers can use the filtering and find what they need without fuss.
By adding product filters right on every collection page you let visitors slice by size color and price, speeding them to the perfect match. Sharp product filters also cut bounce, keep shoppers engaged and boost conversion because the catalog feels organized. Plus search engines reward clean filter structures, giving your Shopify store an SEO lift.
We will add product filters by using the Shopify app Search & Discovery and add each filter option through metafields, no code required. You will map variant data, drag the product filters panel above the fold and test how it behaves on mobile. I show a quick tip to add a reset filters link and another trick that keeps URL parameters clean for sharing.
