Want your Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra to automatically display captions for speech in videos?
Live Caption can automatically generate captions for speech detected from your device.
How to enable Live Caption
- Open Settings.
- Tap Accessibility.
- Tap Hearing enhancements.
- Tap Live caption.
- Turn on Use live caption. Once enabled, Live Caption can automatically display captions when your device detects speech.
Other Live Caption settings
- Languages: Add the languages you want Live Caption to caption. You can also enable Suggest detected languages. Some languages may require a download before they can be used.
- Caption preferences: Customize caption visibility, size, and style. Caption settings from apps such as YouTube and Live Transcribe are applied first, and not all apps support the caption preferences configured here.
- Hide profanity: Hide detected profanity from the captions.
- Live caption in volume control: Provides access to Live Caption through the volume controls.
Caption controls
- Touch and hold captions to move them up or down.
- Double-tap captions to expand them.
Important notes:
- Live Caption can increase battery usage.
- Song lyrics aren't captioned.
- Caption behavior can vary between apps.
