It’s the traditional way of installing baseboards, and our go-to method. It allows you to customize the height and style, plus it helps hide gaps from uneven walls.

For our Spanish reno, I wanted a cleaner look so I chose 5.5” base with quarter round molding from @loweshomeimprovement. Install is similar to one-piece molding, just with an extra step!
