During the Second World War the Soviet Army would create an impressive weapon, the Katyusha Rocket Launchers mounted on the back of trucks and tractors, would pound German forces with a barrage of rocket artillery. This got German military minds thinking. What if they could just copy the design and use it against the Soviets? This is when the 8 cm Raketen-Vielfachwerfer was born. Usually mounted on halftracks, the German version would be much the same, but would it have any impact on the war? In today's video we look at how the Germans copied the soviets with their rocket artillery.
