Recognizing what adds to your Net Worth and what subtracts from it will allow you to optimize what you buy. Sometimes, certain items depreciates like a rock to zero, others more slowly, and some good ones actually appreciates in value. We all need STUFF to live comfortably and this STUFF often depreciates. So it is good to own some amount of stuff for comfort while trying to not hold too many at the same time to reduce depreciation loss.
