Emotional stress creates physical inflammation.
Your mind and your body are not separate. Chronic stress, anxiety, and emotional overwhelm can increase inflammation, disrupt your immune system, affect your gut, worsen pain, and make it harder for your body to heal.
That doesn't mean stress is the enemy.
A healthy amount of stress gives us the motivation to get out of bed, pursue our goals, and rise to life's challenges. But when stress becomes chronic, it can keep the body stuck in survival mode—draining our energy, fueling inflammation, and making chronic illness even harder to overcome.
This is why I encourage people to lean into the simplicity of the Goodbye Lupus Protocol. Instead of chasing every new supplement or health trend, focus on consistently giving your body what it needs and removing what is hurting it. Then give yourself permission to rest, breathe, laugh, connect with people you love, spend time in nature, move your body, and practice whatever healthy self-care helps you calm your nervous system.
Healing isn't just about what you eat—it's also about creating an environment where your body feels safe enough to repair itself.
