You can always count on RGG Studio to find a new take on its Japanese underworld stories, and that's exactly what we're getting in Stranger Than Heaven. A distant prequel to the Like a Dragon series, it explores the origins of the Tojo Clan over multiple time periods. To talk more about creating that brand new world and the game's unique combat system, director Mikinobu Abe joined us at gamescom 2026. His answers may not be strange, but the game sure does look like heaven.

Stranger Than Heaven is coming to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC on January 15, 2027.
