Stalker: Shadow of Chernobyl is a cult classic game for the PC. It perfected the art of immersion and atmosphere that games have continuously tried to mimic and emulate ever since. This isn't so much a review of stalker shadow of chernobyl, but a retrospective essay on the world-building and tension inspiring atmosphere that the game injected into all those who played it.
