Are you wondering how solar panels are connected to a sheet metal roof?
If your roof is corrugated iron Colourbond, Custom Orb, Trim Deck, Tin or another similar sheet metal product that is fixed with roofing screws we use the existing roofing screw holes to mount our tin brackets, also known as L feet through the roof sheet to the battens below.
Sitting on a rubber mounting pad and with large screw complete with a rubber washer providing a good fixing to the batten below we can ensure that your sheet metal roof won't leak from these fixing points.
When the tin brackets / L feet are securely fixed in place we then mount our rail to the brackets and then our solar panels are bolted to the rail creating an extremely solid structure.
