Soaps and detergents help clean dirt and grease by breaking them down and allowing water to wash them away. They work on the principle of emulsification and surface tension reduction.
Both soap and detergent molecules have two important parts:
Hydrophilic head (Water-loving): Attracts water molecules.
Hydrophobic tail (Oil-loving): Attracts grease, dirt, and oil.
